Poetry
I see a frightened little bird
Trembling as I approach,
I realize he cannot fly
No matter how I coach.
His little wing is broken,
His body shakes in fear,
His only hope to run away
Each time someone draws near.
It seems we are surrounded
By those who live in fear,
Who like this tiny little bird
Just long to disappear.
They hide within their brokenness,
Themselves they cannot heal,
So give us wisdom to reach out
And Your love, Lord, reveal.
