Forget the failure of the past,
Don't pause and look behind,
For it is buried 'neath My blood,
Your sin don't call to mind.

If you are weighted by the past
My race you'll never win,
For you'll be loaded with despair,
The run you won't begin.

Press on, My child, your eyes on Me,
Your fate is in My hand,
My grace has covered, don't look back,
Ahead's your promised land.

I do not ask you to bear shame,
Once it's confessed you're free,
I see the longings of your heart
To love and honor Me.

Lay down the burden of remorse
That trips your every step,
With eyes on Me don't look behind
With love I'll always prep.
