“The Bread and the Sword”



Possibly within this story is a good way to some up what is a great Church, it had to be through the Bible of course and in detail more especially, at 1 Samuel chapter 21. Yes, this chapter is the story of David while he was still running from Saul because he was after David’s life. And after David has tried everywhere else to hide, he finally arrived at the Church and meet with Ahimelech the priest of the Church. Though David has “miss stated” the truth as to why he was there by him self, Ahimelech was not short of offering the required help to him. He offered the Holy Bread to David for “consumption” for the man whom not so long ago was able to kill the giant with his sling shot, even got a sword from the priest. What a Church….!

And today we go to Church for various reasons. But the Church also need to remain to offer the two very important things for each believer…..



And that is the Bread and the Sword…yes, Jesus Have and always Will Be Offering these two things……



He Said:



“Peace be with you” God Brings Bread for our souls, because He is the Bread of Life.

“Receive the Holy Spirit” a Sword for the struggle.
