Whose Bride Are We?
After the wedding you and your bride send all your time together, doing everything. You kiss her before you go to work, when you get home, you hold her hand while watching T.V. You cuddle her at night to keep your bride warm and safe. There is not one thing, during this time that you want to do without her by your side. The man would sacrifice his very life in order to protect the thing he loves most, his bride. Would you lie, cheat or other wise jeopardize the relationship that you have watered and feed though the years of getting to know each other? It is like growing a plant in your garden. You will make sure that you water and feed your plant. You plant it in a place that it will get the most sunshine it can without killing it. The sun will rain its rays of life upon your plant to bring it to life. As with your bride you will do all that is required of you to see that your marriage will have all it needs to survive. It is the same with our marriage to Christ. As you step into the marriage, accepting Jesus as our Lord, we become his bride in this marriage. Jesus takes on the role as our husband. As we begin to live and love together in the same house, our body and soul we can see the true meaning of a marriage. Too live a life with no one in it is easy. There is no one there to tell you what you should and should not do. You are not responsible for any other life except your own. But, then again there is no one there to help you or to share with you the good times. There is no one or nothing to help you on your way. Advise you, pick you up when you fall. Like the footsteps in the sand, Christ is always there, you may not see him or even feel like he is watching over you but he is there. As the husband, Christ will do all that he can to see that we survive. Christ will protect and keep us warm. He will plant us where we need to be in the sun to make us grow strong and true. Now as the bride, it is our free will to love, cherish and obey our husbands. A house divided can and will not stand. In the beginning this is easy, but as time pass the love, cherishes and obeying can get to be pretty confusing in this day and age.
In this political uproar of today the light we once started with has now become a dim light that we rarely see anymore. It has been some two thousand years since the life of Christ the road and time has become long. He is like a dim light at the end of a tunnel. We can no longer keep our eyes fixed upon him. It is now in this day and time that we as Christians need to stand firm on the rock that he has set for us. We need to stand up for the things that are right, setting the standard for others to live by. Christians need to get involved with the political front of our nation. They need to be talking with the man and women that are trying to run our country. Well in my opinion they are not doing a very good job. I can see where Daniel`s words are coming to a head. It is time that we show not only the nation but the world that Christ is real and he is coming back, real soon now. The destruction of our selves is so overwhelming. It is not just limited to the world ,it is even in the house. Yes, I said in the house, there is as much corruption is the house of God as there is in the world. The bride is not doing the house work. She needs to clean the house all the time. As your bride goes around and clean up after their husband we need to clean our house too. Christ was not very forgiving or patient with the money changers in his house. Then why are we forgiving. Why should we stand for the money changers? Why do we tolerate all the money changers now? What has changed in 2000 years since he taught us how and why we are to live.
