When I crawled before Him in my shame and dirt, sorry and oh, so forlorn

When I cried at the thought of all my sins and wrongdoing

When I begged with a contrite heart for His love and forgiveness

Am glad He didn't say NO

When I went hungry and lacked
When I had nothing on my back except my skin
When I felt alone and weary
Then I cried JESUS Help me!
Am glad He didn't say NO

When I was oppressed, depressed and suppressed
When persecution and sickness trod all over me
When friends and family fled
Then I cried with a loud voice, My Lord, My God where are you?
Am glad He didn't say NO

When the storms barged violently
When I ached under duress from the enemy
When I reached out as a drowning man to be rescued but found no help
Then I cried, my very soul vibrating, Oh, JESUS Help me!
Am sure glad HE didn't say, NO!
