A baby in the household,
A gift from heav'n to earth,
And many will be blessed because
Of this small child's birth.

Though we don't know his future,
We know God has a plan,
This treasure wrapped in tiny clothes
Will bless his fellowman.

The years will pass so quickly,
So little time to form,
Invest in his eternity
And not the earthly norm.

This little one you now embrace
Holds gifts that you must treasure,
A purpose God has planned for him
Eternity will measure.
