Study God’s Word if you wish to be wise,
Search out its deep truths every day;
Blessed above all is the one who abides
In life giving truth that Scripture provides,
Who measures all things by what His words say.

Be careful the things that enter your mind,
Guard your thoughts as more precious than gold;
Not by much learning is wisdom defined,
More often than not it’s brainwashing in kind,
Vain impotent food for sleep-walking souls.

God’s Word provides all that believers need--
Sustenance vital to nourish and grow;
They strengthen and thrive as they freely feed,
And drink its pure milk as God’s Spirit leads,
Then the fruit of Spirit-filled lives will show.

The table is set with bountiful fare—
The price has been paid, there’s nothing to buy;
Why dine at tables so costly and bare?
There’s a sumptuous feast that God has prepared--
Come! Freely avail of abundant supply!
