“Cover your mouth when you cough!” We are more and more health conscious and try to avoid catching the common cold and the latest strains of the flu. Health experts give the latest statistics on transmittable diseases; and we are determined to avoid becoming the next statistic! We should use common sense; if we are not careful we will be obsessed with sanitizing and antibacterial agents. I once heard of a caring mother who used hand wipes constantly on her child after it was touched by others. A friend lovingly explained she could ease up on the cleaning.


Do you realize we have within our power the ability to transmit holiness? We can be carriers of God’s will and purity! Priests in the temple were instructed to wear consecrated garments while offering sacrifices. In God’s presence they were to be free of contamination. Ironically, when they left they were to change out of these garments when meeting with others. “When they got out to the outer court, to the outer court to the people, they shall take off their garments in which they have ministered, leave them in the holy chambers, and put on other garments; and in their holy garments they shall not sanctify the people (Ezekiel 54:19 NKJ).”


The glory of the Lord could be transmitted to those who were in need of their own personal cleansing of sin! Today we are not bound by legalism and find free access to the throne of God through Jesus death, the final sacrifice. His Holy Spirit abides within and in love we can transmit His holiness! If it is contagious, we will spread pure love around the globe!
