“Servant’s Heart”



I have known a friend for a couple of years now but again because of the Wonderful Works of our Almighty, he has finally arrived to finish his own race for Him, and he was Called home where we are all still longing to go one day. The day I received the news about my friend, I was still on my way to the hospital to see how he was doing but also knowing that his time to go was just around the corner. Seeing him for the last time with saying goodbye was a relief to acknowledge that his sickness has been Healed, forever.

Leaving the place and just meditating on as to what has happened, two words were laid on my heart from Above. “Servant’s Heart”.

If there would be any other words to describe my dear friend, I would have written down for you but with the Help from Above, to me he was the person with a servant heart. Never shy away from anything what he could do for God.

On the same day when I left the hospital, I received a call from another friend, asking me if I would be willing to prepare a small talk/message for our weekly gathering and of course I have agreed. Being heavy hearted that time, I really needed to pray and ask God as to what would be an appropriate message for that day. And He Is just so Amazing!

I looked through on a few writings/messages till I arrived on a list which is actually (apparently) containing the most read Bible verses from number one till one hundred. Viewing the list and having the two words still on my heart, “Servant’s Heart”, started to make sense as I was putting the words together.



Allow me to share with you a few lines, see if it would make sense to you as well….



John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Jer 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Rom 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Phil 4:13: I can do everything through him who gives me strength. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Prov 3:5: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Prov 3:6: in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Rom 12:2: Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Phil 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
Matt 28:19: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. “If you have a Servant’s Heart”.
