Can you believe we are already in September, the month of fruitfulness? The month that begins to slowly but surely usher summer and it’s unbearable heat out of our domain? Wow, time just keeps flying and it is more than imperative we are making the most out of every single minute.

I prophesy into this month of September, that our physical, spiritual, marital and financial pains will be turned to gigantic gains and our disappointments from previous months will be turned to appointments, in the name of Jesus. We shall not experience pieces but peace in every department of our lives throughout this month, in the powerful name of Jesus, amen!

One way or the other, issues come looking for us especially when we least expect them. It could be losing a job, losing a loved one, losing faith about a situation, disappointments and so forth. When you find yourself in one of the many sticky boats life presents, the way you handle your fate, unfailingly determines the duration of that issue in your life. The instrument you apply in pulling yourself out of the miry clay also makes a world of a difference. Most of the time, we employ the option of self instead of the Word of God who became flesh and dwelt among us.

Who and what have you employed as you read this message to pull you out of the situation you are currently struggling with? If your answer is Christ then you are in for the peace that surpasses all understanding even in the harshest of storms. If self, then get ready for crisis; it has a faithful way of showing up without Christ in the picture. The solution that self offers is always momentarily compared to the priceless solution Christ offers.

I was dealing with a particular problem in my life for a number of years and I must confess I used to give that problem to God in my time of prayer. The minute anything concerning that problem reared its ugly head, I had a way of snatching the problem from the feet of the Lord and taking it into my own hands. I still marvel at how my flesh used to rise up to deal with it the way I felt will bring desired results. The outcome was always the same; NOTHING changed! If anything, the ridiculous storm I had a way of creating in the midst of a major storm always maliciously slapped me in the face and left me cowering with unbearable shame.

The day I made up my mind to leave that issue at the feet of Jesus and simply walk away was one of the best decisions I ever made. Exactly one month after I left it and walked away, my prayer was answered and I have been unable to stop sharing about what the Lord has done for me.

It is imperative that we engage the Word of God in confronting our every day challenges.
Secondly, we must exemplify the revealed Word of God and put it to work as a lifestyle. Our lives ought to be the Bible others are reading. The Lord will give us the grace to follow through, in the name of Jesus. Remember prayer is the master key that goes where we cannot go.
