The older I get, the less and less I find myself concerned about what ‘people’ think. A difficult place to be, often, because we are supposed to be modeling the perfect Christian lifestyle, so I guess the answer really lies in what that truly is a model Christian Lifestyle. Even harder perhaps for a woman , (especially those who stand alone), because some denominations dictate that we are not even allowed to have a Spiritual voice, let alone a visible Spiritual Life.

Jesus did not say that.


Scripture tells all that we are to be obedient to the elders of our churches…………….but every man made church body has its own set of rules, therefore to practice obedience to one , we often run the risk of opposing another. So who do we follow?

Here is my criteria, on paper ,and I feel moved to share.

1)‘The Church.’
Denominations are man made, God’s Church is alive and kicking hard in the hearts of True Believers, as it has always, always, been.
Church, the man made variety, is what each worshipper makes of it…………….Good or bad will depend on what you are seeking, and more importantly what God lays on your heart during the service.
Some more appealing, dependant on our Spiritual Maturity, and the Presence of the Holy Spirit, and some less., dependant on our Spiritual Immaturity, and the presence of Satan sitting in the pews!
No man made church can be all good, or all bad,

Romans 3:23,
‘For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.’

One thing I am sure of , is that it should never be about who you know, how much you put in the offering plate, or whether or not your face fits. A church should be a House of Prayer/Worship for all people. Amen?

So given that the ‘real church’ of today lives within, who is in charge?
Jesus, our Intercessor, and High Priest over all, Son of God, Saviour of the World. My beloved Messiah.
To Him I am accountable……………, striving for obedience to His Rules, and no other.

I can Worship, Learn. Pray, and Fellowship in a man made church, but if their doctrine does not align with Jesus’ heart, written down in God’s Holy Word and heard by those with ‘ears to hear,’ I would be a fool to comply. God is God, and while I love Him with all of my heart, His wrath is to be wisely feared.

Matthew 15:9,
‘BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.’



2) What would Jesus do?

Scripture, to the unlearned, and learned sometimes, can , by mans perversion, tie you in up in knots . Our walk is a lifetime of Revelations, learning about our Creator………….and I think supposed to be just that.
When I am witnessing and people ask me what to read, I tell them to pray hard for guidance, and if in doubt focus on the parts in red! Jesus, His Words, His Parables. His Life.

Truly, this is where the real obedience kicks in, loud and clear, and not so hard to understand if God is working on Your Heart.

Mark 12:30,31,

‘AND THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND, AND WITH ALL THY STRENGTH: this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. There is none other commandment greater than these.’

Go to Jesus, His Love, His Life, His Heart. Then there is Peace, and then there is Light.

If someone is needy, help them. If someone is hurting, minister to them. If someone is hungry, feed them………………….be real . God always finds a way when your heart is aligned to His Will.


God builds His Church within us, and Jesus gave His Life In Service to His Fathers Love.

There is our model, and the only valid accountability worth considering.

Colossians 1:18,
‘And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have preminence.’
Amen.
