POOR GOD

What does He think when the Baptist man from New Jersey prays after missing church for 22 years, yet expects to be ushered into the heavenly gates…

Soon a Latter Day Saint (Mormon) entreats God, assured that he is part of the true and only remnant Church of Christ – while taught to ignore basic scriptures…

Then a Lutheran prays, believing she is accepted by grace and faith alone – as good Lutherans have for more than 400 years since Martin’s day…

Then the Jehovah’s Witness checks in, secure in the knowledge of how faithful she has been this week in following Jehovah’s requirements from the Watchtower…

After that sister Mary, a nun who is zealous to assist Holy Mother Church in these trying days, prays a simple prayer of consecration…

Shortly thereafter a Seventh-day Adventist prays for Jehovah’s help in keeping the Sabbath, sign of Israel’s Old Covenant with Israel...

Then a Pentecostal believer will pray in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, knowing they are being guided by the Holy Spirit…

Besides that there are Methodists, Presbyterians, Church of Christ, Church of God, Assembly of God, Holiness and countless other fine groups of believers…

They all somewhat arrogantly think they have the truest comprehension of divine knowledge and proudly believe they understand biblical insight…

Christ only gave one new commandment, that we love one another as He loved the disciples. And to our shame, we Christians as a whole have failed miserably…

Poor God, those who claim to be His children act just like squabbling children; proud, petty and uncooperative. No wonder the world is not impressed.

Poor God, with “friends” like that, who needs enemies to confuse the masses!
