I will meet you in a field
Outside the town, just before dawn,
Green flattened grasses meeting clay,
Wet by the morning dew.

I will stand beside the rambling rose,
Red petals rise to meet the sun,
You sense her fragrance,
And you'll meet her in full bloom!

Then, I will invite, so you may talk,
And I will listen, as I hold your hand,
I take with me concerns you should not own.

I will then take ownership
Of every thought imagined,
Every doubt or fear or loss
This friend is whom you truly earned.

I will teach you many things,
To trust your heart.
Imaginings are nothing more than fears
Which spring forth from a tired mind.

Call me Jesus,call me Abba,
Alpha and Omega,
One begins the other finishes,
I'm neither of these two.

When you came to know me,
I named you, my baby child,
You still believe you're part of me,
As I am in the heart of you.


You have presence, yes, you have!
Search no longer, just be glad.
You're the diamond, yes, you shine.
You're the child whom I call mine.
