Faith
I Heard You
It was quiet and still
Peaceful and private
At night when
You called
my name.
You answered me
in my heart
And mind
Something I asked You
In prayer…
I heard You
Your gentle voice true.
I heard You speak to me through others
Those who I love and know
As my sister and brothers…
All because of You.
You alone move as the wind
Yet remain the solid rock
On which I stand-
Have entered my heart
As a flame of love,
While quenching my thirst
with the Gospel plan.
Quenching my thirst,
Revealing to me how
You come first
In all things -and
How all things
Consist by You
And for You.
By your Light I am guided
And removed from the
Darkness
By your Word
Provided.
I heard You
And You are
All I ever
need.
