Life wasn't always good to me
I suffered a many knocks and bruises
But it showed me that I had to fight
and put out all those bad fuse's

The start began on a rocky road
I took part in quiet a few treats
not one of them were the right kind
while out there on that beat

A bit of everything presented it's self
giving me the tests of time
No gold was paved on that trail
some things almost just blew my mine

But as the years passed I soon realized
that I could reverse the trend
And search for a way to better my life
to bring, the worse to an end

I found life didn't own me anything
I had to claim my hearts desire
So I pulled the plug that stopped me up
and began to get inspired

I look back over my humble beginnings
not because of the negative side
But to count my blessings, one by one
that I was given a chance to decide

What I wanted my life to be all about
seeing God gave up something for me
For he sacrificed his only Son
and now no longer I'm bound but free
