I come into your life as a soft whisper. Sometimes you reject me immediately. I really hate when that happens. I wait for a more opportune time and whisper once more. This time you hear. You begin to repeat what I have said to yourself. You lose your enthusiasm, as you believe the whisper that has become a scream. I know I have victory when you no longer keep me to yourself, but begin to tell others what I have said. Oh, the joy I have in seeing your self-esteem plummet and your dreams die. I believe I forgot to tell you my name. Let me introduce myself…I am a negative thought.

Do you say, “I can’t” more than “I can?” Do you focus on your negatives more than the positives? Say “no” to negative thinking and focus on the positive. Turn the “I can’t” into an “I can.”
