Practicing physician Stephen E. Fraser M.D., of Indianapolis, read every line of the current “health care” bill and concluded that the provisions of the Health care bill are dangerous to health and damaging to everyone’s budgets.
This means more debt for you, loss of jobs, higher taxes, poor (rationed) healthcare, incapacity for meeting obligations, more foreclosures and mounting debt problems. (See reference below for help).

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the healthcare bill before Congress. I actually read the bill and was shocked by the brazenness of the government’s proposed involvement in the patient physician relationship. The very idea that the government would dictate and ration patient care, carries dangers and certainly is not helpful in designing a healthcare system that works for all… [T]he proposed bills currently making their way through Congress would be a disaster if passed.
Provision: Health Care bill:
- Page 22: Health Care bill allows government to audit books of all employers that self-insure.
- Page 29, lines 4 – 16, Page 30, section 123: Health Care bill states your healthcare is rationed
- Page 42: the Health Choices Commissioner would choose your healthcare benefits for you. You have no choice.
- Page 58: government will have real-time access to individual’s finances. National ID Health card will be issued.
- Page 59: government will have direct access to your bank accounts for “elective funds transfers”.
- Page 84, section 203: Health Care bill mandates all benefit packages for private health care plans.
- Page 95, lines 8 – 18: the government will use groups, i.e., Acorn and AmeriCorps to set up individuals for the government health care plan.
- Page 85, line 7: Health Care bill Specifications of Benefit Levels for Plans. Senior’s health care will be rationed.
- Page 102, lines 12 – 18: Medicaid Eligible Individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. There’ll be no choice.
- Page 124, lines 24 – 25: No company can sue the government for price-fixing. There’ll be no judicial review against government monopolization of the healthcare field.
- Page 126, lines 22 – 25: employers must pay for healthcare for part-time employees and their families.
- Page 127, lines 1 – 16: doctors will be told what income and salaries they can make.
- Page 145, line 15 – 17: every employer must auto enroll employees in public option plans with no choice whatsoever for the employer or for the employee.
- Page 149, line 16 – 24: every employer with payroll 401(k) and above, who does not provide the public option, pays 8% tax on all payroll.
- Page 167, lines 18 – 23: Health Care bill stipulates that if an individual does not have “acceptable health care” according to the government, that individual will be taxed 2.5% of income.
- Page 195: Healthcare Administration will have access to all American’s financial and personal records.
You’ll love this – the bill actually says on page 203, lines 14 - 15: “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax.”
- Page 239, lines 14 – 24: government will reduce physician services for Medicaid Seniors. Low-income and poor are affected.
- Page 251, lines 10 – 18: government will set the value of a doctor’s time, profession, and judgment.
- Page 265, section 1131: government will control the productivity for all private healthcare industries.
- Page 268, section 1141: federal government will regulate rental and purchase of power driven wheelchairs.
- Page 272, section 1145: Health Care bill regulates treatment of cancer in certain hospitals. Will force rationing in cancer patient healthcare resources.
- Page 280, section 1151: government will penalize hospitals for whatever the government believes were preventable re-admissions.
- Page 298, lines 9 – 11: if a doctor treats a patient at initial admission and treatment results in readmission, the doctor will be penalized.
- Pages 341, lines 3 – 9: government has authority to disqualify Medicare Advance Plans, Hmo’s, forcing people into the government plan.
- Page 354, section 1177: government restricts enrollment of special-needs people.
- Page 425, lines 4 – 12: government mandates Advance Care Planning Consult. Think in terms of Senior Citizen’s end of life “patient care”.
- Page 425, line 17 – 19: government will instruct and consult regarding all living wills, durable powers of attorney. Mandatory.
- Page 425, lines 22 – 25, 426 lines 1 – 3: government will provide approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in death. (assisted suicide).
- Page 427, lines 15 – 24: government will mandate “orders for end of life” procedures, i.e., the government has a “say” in how your life ends.
- Page 429, lines 10 – 12: “advanced care consultation” may include an order for end-of-life” procedures.
- Page 430, lines 11 – 15: government will decide level of end-of-life treatment.
- Page 472, lines 14 – 17: required payment to community-based organizations. One monthly payment will be ordered to some community based organization.
- Page 489, section 1308: government will cover marriage/family therapy. Designed for government intrusion inside marriage and family.
- Page 494 – 498: the government will cover Mental Health Services including defining, creating, and rationing those services.

Furthermore, if you vote for a bill that enforces socialized medicine on the country and destroys the doctor/patient relationship, I will do everything in my power to make sure you lose your job in the next election"
