The Marks of a Christian

Every believer have an invisible identification tag that hangs around their neck rather they realize it or not. What makes one know that they are a Christian? How do people identify a Christian out of a crowd? What made Peter deny Jesus in Mark 14:66-72? The Christian because of who they represent is marked with the same logo Jesus was marked with. Just as Jesus we must be just as persistent in our consistency in serving God. Do we really serve God or man? Ask yourself, do I follow after God’s plan or am I handcuffed by fear and hide behind something? It is time to forsake all, make up your mind to answer the call, give up everything not like God and take His cup and run with it.

A Christian that follows Christ in an upright position, faithful and true makes things happen. When we separate ourselves for the work of the ministry the preparation of the gospel is validated in us through him. He will declare you to be ready and will consummate the relationship. His Spirit will cause you to be steady where you won’t lie, steal, cheat or dip. God has called and is calling man to be born again. While the intercessors pray for God to be God and move within the children if not close will play because they got in on the parents pass.

Salvation is nothing we as the people of God has done or deserve. When we think about what happened to Jesus we know it was no fun. Yet Jesus took the pain, shame, and sin simply that we could make it in. Christians we have been marked for this journey but do we have the identifying marks? Jesus has set before us the race and it is up to us how we set our pace. It is a pass thought we all must possess so we must take the pass and make it last.

The mark of a Christian is holy and righteous living. God calls us to holiness (Leviticus 11:44). He gave us the way to go and called the way the way of holiness (Isaiah 35:8). He also identified us there and said not to get weary and full of unrest along the way but to endure as good soldiers, staying in the way. An angel came and announced one day to go in the power of his might and command what he would tell us to say. We are urged to tell others that this is a walk by faith and not by sight. As you go and tell others your strength will be built up on the Word. When you are singled out as a Christian, it is the Word of God that identifies who you are. Be singled out, so what if you are alone for you are already more than a conqueror without a telephone.

The mark of a Christian says that there was a changing of the hands. I have tried and tried my way of doing things. I have taken what God has supplied and given to dogs the holy things of God. God said He would bless me and of a surety I can say that He did. Then he said give it all away and flee. I did not understand but there was a changing of the hand anyway. When we have changed hands we may go from riches to rags, fame to shame. Your mind, heart, body and soul tries too contain all of it and how it was done but then you remember God and realized it’s delayed but not denied. In this world we give and forgive. We seek peace and pursue it and its good will. We do good deeds to all men and learn to stand still. We stand tall in the Spirit but in the flesh we may fall. We stand as the conduit with God’s favor, blessings and all.

The marks of a Christian have many more identifying logos. In the world there is a logo to identify everything. Your home has an address on a street. Your last name identifies what family you came from. A size on your clothes says how big or small you are. Your food has an identifying label on it so that you know what you are eating.

If you are in love, it shows by your emotions, sentiment, the pleasurable attractiveness toward each other or how you delight in the person, thing or principle. You have a desire for the presence, possession, well being, or promotion of its object. How much more God? How much you love Him will show through your obedience to the Word He speaks to you.

When Jesus has really died for the remission of your sins it is worn on the table of your heart. It influences your life in a way that you observe and reverence His suffering.
