Author requests article critique

Many of us might not serve Jesus if we are wealthy
Many Christians believe that if you are wealthy
It is an indication that you are a good disciple of Jesus—
It will not be wise if all of us are wealthy because
Many would then not be serving Jesus—
Wealth has destroyed many Christian lives and
Wealth has taken many of them away from Jesus—
Many people that are wealthy would not want Jesus to return because
That would spoil their status on earth—
They would want to spend their money first!

The idea that God wants everybody to be wealthy is a dangerous one
Many that are rich are actual poor—
Many Christians today have implemented the Television program
“I want to be a millionaire” in their lives—
Many Christians also play the lottery in the church
They give to God so that God can double their money or
Give them back a hundred fold—
Money is not the problem but the love of it is!

Most of us need to understand that when
We have nothing in our pockets then we are actual RICH because
Jesus will show at that time the RICHNESS of the HOLY SPIRIT

The idea that God wants everybody to be wealthy is a dangerous one and
It has deceived many because money has stolen their salvation

Luke 12;22-34 And He said unto His disciples, "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take you thought for the rest. Consider the lillies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the feild, and to morrow is cast into the the oven; how much more will He clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the Kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in heaven that faileth not, where no thief appoacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Jesus had to borrow a donkey for his triumphant ride into Jerusalem. When he was crucified, he was laid in a borrowed tomb. He was born in a stable. Why should anyone think that he wants us to have material wealth? The ones who are raking in all the dough are those who tell us if we just read their book, Jesus will bless us with great wealth. The grossly missrepresent Christ's teachings.

I certainly agree with you on this, Mark. I very much dislike the "Prosperity Gospel" preachers. I feel that that doctine is so false. So someone like my dad, who would have given the shirt off his back to someone in need, has no riches on this earth. But he has a mansion in heaven. He sent it all ahead...I feel sorry for some poor folks who love the Lord with all their hearts, hearing this false gospel. But those folks don't believe in the prosperity gospel anyway. They know it is false....You tell it like it is, Mark....Helen
