I for one,am very easily distracted. And I'm sure that is the case for many of us. One thing I've learned that you must do, as a Christian, is Stay in tune,not with the chaos on the outside, but the knowing ,that God is with us; and his Spirit is in us.
If we are born again believers of Jesus Christ,we should never let the distractions of the world pull us away from the powerful,transforming truth in Gods word .Which by the way is alive and active in us.
The word of God says in(1John3:24)ref.NLT}
That if we obey God's commands,we live in fellowship with him,and we know he lives in us because,his Holy Spirit is in us.
Also ephesians 3:1-4 (Since we have been raised to new life with Christ set your sights on the realities of heaven where Christ is seated at the right hand of God in the place of honor and power.It says: Let heaven fill your thoughts. Don't just think about things down here on earth. For you died when Christ died and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.And when Christ who is your real life is revealed to the whole world You will share in all his Glory.
That gets me back to my point. Stay in tune with God. It's the truth on the inside that keeps us from falling prey to the of the enemy. Now hold tightly, to the word of God,keep your mind in tune to God's Spirit.Don't let the distractions of the enemy and the chaos of the world become louder than the voice of God's Spirit.
Let God's Spirit lead and direct,comfort and councel,and let him fill you with the fullness of God's transforming power and love. Always staying in tune with the steps of God.
