Lord forgive our folly
We talk about love
But we hurt each other
we preach unity
but we segregate
based on colour, creed and class

lord forgive our folly
we turn our backs
when you speak
but when the moment of
truthf and consequences comes
we blame you for everything

Lord forgive our folly
We beg your forgiveness
But we refuse to forgive
The friends and foes who hurt us
We pray for more provision
But have no compassion for the hungry

Lord forgive our folly
We may fool one another
But we forget one thing
We can lie to the world
But you and the man in the mirror
Will always know the truth
