Encouragement

Confidence grows in an individual because they have been fortunate enough to have had a loving environment in which trust was present. Confidence is also based on past accomplishments of an individual. In my case my confidence has grown because I have learned the Biblical truth of who I am in Christ. It matters not to share the plight of life issues I have had, what does matter is that every step of the way I have been shielded from disaster by my Lord and Savior. I have learned that praising the names of God out loud daily, have diminished fears and restored faith. Quoting Bible verses and claiming them, and asking God in prayer to give back what the devil has stolen has empowered my very being. I have begun walking two miles every evening and I say Psalm 23, The Lord's Prayer, and praise and worship God the entire walk. I confess and leave all the sins of the day at the foot of the cross, and as the walk nears the end, I am filled with confidence and feel as though I have spent quality time with the best friend in the world. I ask God to undo any generational curses that may have been attached to our family from parents and grandparents. I place all blood relatives in God's hands asking that they come to accept the gift of salvation, and live to glorify God. I truly leave my worries for family at the cross and the relief is empowering. My walks are shared with my little blind (from birth) Pomeranian dog Buddy, who has progressed after two years of my meeting his needs to trust me to walk blindly on a leash with the sounds of traffic all around him. He is fully functional except for being born without eyes. He constantly is a blessing to me as I literally watch his confidence increase as he trusts me to lead him on the right path. In the same way I am trusting God to lead me in the paths of righteousness. With God as my Father and Jesus as my Savior and the Holy Spirit comforting and guiding me and angels surrounding me, how could I not have confidence? Focusing on these truths will change things for anyone. Sharing this I pray will cause someone to open the Word of God and look for the love written there that will change what could be an error to heir...what a blessing. Praise God.
