Woe is me. I am undone by Your unwavering onslaught to pursue my soul.
You have broken through my defensive walls of pride.
And so I shall fall and lay unarmed before You.
Your persistence to woo me with Your benevolent forgiveness has pierced through
my armor and dismantled the artillery of my harden heart.

I tried to regroup and retreat to my faithful fox hole of self will, but there was
No escape from heat of Your strong affection for me. I tried to find solace and
In the trenches of my intellect but there was no peace.
I was abandoned by my platoon of secularism. I am left alone to face Your
Righteous conviction.

Though I was at enmity to Your cross and an antagonist to Your cause, You pitied me.
You covered my transgressions. You clothed my nakedness with Your bowels of compassion.
Your Captain Mercy besieged me on every side.
The radiance of Your Loving Kindness drew me out of my company of minions, which shrouded my soul in darkness. The chinks in my armature lay exposed and apparent.

I humbly lay prostrate before Your throne of Grace. Your Light is Life to my spirit.
I am now and will forever be a willing captive of Love’s War waged on my behalf.
As my father David said before me “Oh how the Mighty have Fallen.” For wherever shall I go where Holy Presence is not?

If I were to go down to the grave, surely the strength of Your affection for me would beckon me to life. In You I find no restraint of Liberty and Peace. There are no wings swift enough, nor Depth in Hades deep enough to cover me from Your Omniscient Sight.
Even in the secret chambers of my conception, You saw my conception. It was You
Who gave me a name.

You predestined me with Your purpose, and You will not relent until You have completed and
Perfected Your Will in me. Though I was wounded, You have suffered more. The chastening that brought my soul and gave me peace cost Your mortal life. But You even conquered death and have risen to Immortality.

Agape, the Master General is Your Name. At the end of my days I will see the Great Commander who so shrewdly and patiently you outwit me and won me over to the side of Love. For Your Love alone Jesus is the Way to eternal life.
