In God We Trust
Part 1

Introduction

In the beginning God created the earth and all that is upon it. He formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed life into Adam. He formed Eve from a portion of Adam’s rib. He allowed Adam and Eve to live in the Garden of Eden. Their established life was peaceful with bliss, with God the Father.

Soon they were tempted of the devil and accepted the temptation, believing their actions would be acceptable in the eyes of God. Well, they weren’t. Their fleshly decision got them kicked out of the garden, not through hate, but, to allow them to get their lives together. God knew if they were to eat of the tree of life after eating of the tree of good and evil, their lives would be lost. The actions of God were to save the lives of the children He loved.

As time progressed and generations grew, the temptations continued and mankind willingly reached out in acceptance. In spite of these calamities, God had a people whom He continued to love. These people were known as the Israelites which consisted of twelve tribes. At one point these tribes were split, becoming the northern tribes (10) and the southern tribes (2). Although the northern tribes were still known as the Israelites and the southern, the tribe of Judah, they were still all Hebrew, being of Israel, previously known as Jacob. Eventually, due to the ongoing fleshly, worldly, wicked actions of both the northern and southern tribes, God allowed them both to be conquered and taken away into captivity. These captivities did occur at different times and the places of captivity were not the same. It must be pointed out, these were just two of the actions of God which should remind us, through His love, He means business to those called or when one seeks a relationship with Him. It must be fully understood, each who seek to be with God have a duty and responsibility to bring honor unto God through faith and obedience. This obedience through faith is the highlight of respect and glory which proves that one truly lives by these words, “In God We Trust”.

The World of Woe

After 70 years of captivity the northern tribes of Israel began escaping and wandering westward. A number of years later, the southern tribes were released. There were millions, of the tribe of Judah, yet, only approximately 42,000 returned to their homeland where they had been taken captive. The main body didn’t return and also wandered westward and into other directions. Over the future years it is believed many of the southern tribe once again gathered within the northern wanderings. It is important to realize and understand Gods chosen have always been the Israelites, being the Northern and Southern tribes, or the twelve (12) tribes.

When the 42,000 returned to where they had been taken captive, they found the area occupied by the Edomites. An important note is these people, Edomites, were descents of Esau, whom sold his birthright to Jacob. Within the 42,000 were Ezra and Nehemiah who instructed the people not to mingle and marry with the Edomites also known as Idumeans. In spite of the instructions, the people co-mingled and married. At this point in history, the name Jew came into being. The intermarriage between the 42,000 of the tribe of Judah and the Edomites became known as the Jews.

The continued growth of this community took on a great adoption of the Roman ways and actions, which maintained dominant control of vast territories. The Romans allowed the Sadducees and Pharisees to rule within, yet maintained complete overall control. There were years of great grief, distrust and infidelity whereby mankind had eliminated the rules of God and established a world of woe, for the hearts of man continued to be wicked.

God had His hand of love constantly extended and sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into this world of woe, as man, to determine why mankind continually accepted the temptations of evil which forbade their trust in God. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost. His heritage was not of a Jew. He was born of the Virgin Mary and raised by Joseph, who was of the House of David, who, being an Israelite was of Judah. Jesus was born within the territories of the Romans whereby were the Jews, including the Sadducees and the Pharisees who were the governmental leaders of the Jews.

As Jesus grew, traveled and spoke in the temples, he was disliked by the leaders, who wanted the Romans to remove him from the land. Eventually, it was the Jewish leaders, through fraud, who had Jesus, the son of God, crucified. These Jews, Sadducees and Pharisees, through their religion, swore by oath, never to accept or obey any of the truths proclaimed by the son of God. They claimed to be a people of their own and had high worldly goals by which they intended to occupy and control the entire world.
