I gave up my old god,
In place of my loving God,
I forsook paintings of her figure,
I gave up my beloved heart's idol.
I chose the brown-new God i loved,
In place of my unholy once bathed wishes,
I chose the business of his court,
Rather than the the riches of my ex-love.
I gave up my egyptian luxuries,
And her unkindly luring sorceries,
I gave up the seducing vain world,
Totally!Backing her sugar-coated words.
I've found a newly fresh bride,
Her virgin joy resonate woken pride,
I've found my long-sought haven,
Now! My blunt soul is well sharpen.
I gave up the dearest in this earth,
That i might home the king of my heart.
