GRATITUDE

Being grateful for what I have in spite of what is going on around me and inside me can be a very challenging thing to do during difficult times, but healing and based on truth.

I could be struggling internally or dealing with things from the environment that are very trying on me, but, being grateful for the good that is there is beautiful. First and foremost the ever present, always available God. He is what I am the most grateful for in times of internal and external stress. There is always a reason for what is happening, sometimes created by Him, and, others by peoples' sinful actions. But, he is always there. His intentions are always good and I trust that.

I can rest assured in His presence and for all the beauty and goodness He brings to me at these times and in daily life in general. There is much to be grateful for and He knows how to maneuver the obstacles better than I ever could if I only trust in Him and be grateful that He is there, and, will show me what to do moment by moment.

A Gratitude Prayer:

Thank you Father that in spite of everything, You are here. You promised You would never abandon and You would make a way for all of us. There is so much to be still grateful for that You have created: the sun, the sky, water, nature, animals, kindness in others, a place to live, food and much more. I just feel afraid through this struggle, but, thank You for giving me Your spiritual presence in my life and being there for me. I don't know how long You want me to bear this cross, but, I will carry it. I feel unsteady, weak, and fearful. I ask that you give me the strength. I surrender to You. I love You and I thank You Father. Amen.
