The Kingdom Of Love

By Robert L. Bray,Sr

How wonderful; how glorious it must have been at the dawn of man's
creation when Adam and Eve remained in perfect harmony with God; when
there was no curse, trace or thought of evil and all the universe
was bathed in the glorious Majesty of God's holiness and
all substance remained brilliant, radiant and pristine; when no
crying was ever heard;. a single tear seen, and not one drop of blood
stained earth's carpet. It was the age of THE KINGDOM OF LOVE; a
golden age, filled with the sweet fragrance of agape love; pulsating
with an indefinable, inexplicable joy!

It was a time of spiritual union between God and man...a time,
however, sadly swept away by the tenuous will of man.

It was through this door, (man's will) that the tempter came be-
guiling Eve, then Adam. The crime of treason was committed and
man was stripped of his authority over the earth and in his place
an evil slave master, Satan, alias Lucifer, began to reign.

Thus, THE KINGDOM OF LOVE on earth was interrupted, but the FATHER,
who is all-knowing and never caught by surprise, set in motion His
masterful plan of redemption, prepared before the foundation of the
world.

He sent agape love back to earth in the form of a little baby, born
in a dusty, obscure, cave filled with people and animals. This Child was
the MESSIAH, THE ANOINTED ONE, whose mission was to break the back of
the evil taskmaster who held sway over the will of man; to become
the FIRST BORN among many new creatures: to give man a revelation
of the FATHER and to teach him how to love.

When He began His ministry at the age of thirty, He spoke a revolution-
ary language:

"A new commandment I give unto you," He said "that you love one another
as I have loved you."

This love is that single spiritual thread that binds God's people to-
gether. It also binds man and wife together. In fact He responded to
the religious leaders of that day with a question, after they asked Him
about divorce. "Have you not read that He which made them at the be-
ginning, made them male and female, and said, for this cause, shall a man leave
father and mother and shall cleave to his wife and they shall be one flesh."

Again, regarding love in marriage, the apostle Paul received a revelation
from God that husbands were to love their wives even as Christ loved the
Church. On the surface, this doesn't seem plausible, however, it must be
understood spiritually. When Christ is supreme in a man's life, his flesh decreases while the Spirit increases. The Holy Spirit empowers him to do what seems impossible. When the husband activates this love, the wife will
willingly submit herself to him...as unto the Lord.

So we see this kind of love can only come from God; a pure Spiritual seed
planted in the fertile gardens of our hearts; nourished and cultivated by
the Spirit. Jesus came to restore the KINGDOM OF LOVE. He taught and
demonstrated this throughout the gospels. This agape love is to be the
pinnacle of the natural family as well as the family of God; bonding
its members together like a spiritual house founded upon a rock so when
the storms of life blow it will not fall. We're speaking about love
that's tender as a soft morning breeze, yet sturdy and resilient enough
to meet the challenges and tests that buffet all relationships. This love
is not arrogant, thin-skinned or unwilling to suffer, nor does it act a
fool. This love cannot be metered out through works, rituals, ceremonies,
programs, knowledge; or even spiritual gifts.

We Christians are to store this agape love deep within our hearts.
Remember, we are members of THE KINGDOM OF LOVE which is THE KINGDOM OF
GOD; an everlasting Kingdom which cannot be moved!
