Faith

Tail ends of poetry, scattered on page,
Half finished songs, piano's for sale.
Scent of sonatas, traces of strings.
Brief whiff of roses, birds on a wing.
Dark, melting chocolate, fingernails bit,
One glass of rose, candles are lit,

So, I dance.

Lipstick on mirrors, rocks near a stream,
sunrises, sunsets, light in-between.
I've buried ashes, I have birthed young.
I played my music,wrote every song.

So, I dance.

Are you so little?
Are you so big?
Are you the branch,
Or, are you the twig?
Are you the bud,
The promise of bloom?
How will you dance
Within life's ballroom?
