Paul was very strict in his defence of the Gospel
John the Baptist preached repentance and correction
Many people only want to focus on the positive things
That Jesus did and as a result they ignore the fact that
A large part of Jesus ministry was about correction
The Jews were obsessed with the concept of ‘election’
However the reality is that they needed ‘correction’

A large portion of the New Testament deals with correction and
Re-dedication for those who have been misled
There is a way to come back to the truth and get things right
There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus—
Mistakes can be fixed—
Jesus came to fix our mistake
Jesus did not hesitate to call the religious leaders, hypocrites
He called them blind leaders, and the reality is that much of
The New Testament was written to correct error that had
Already crept into the Church in the first century!

The division Jesus brought was essential
He separated truth from error—
There is also a great division going on today in the 21st century
The emerging church and the evangelical church have common traits
However, they have two different directions
One wants to change the world and
The other wants to change the heart

Many today don’t like it when their false doctrines are challenged—
You can imagine how they pray against
Those who challenge their doctrines but as followers of Jesus
We must earnestly contend for the truth
