He looks for every opportunity, Father, to lead us astray.
He targets those who do their best to make themselves childlike in Your eyes.
He provokes reactions with hopes that weíll sin,
so he can make his destructive move,
hoping to wash away Your plan in our lives.
But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believes in me to sin,
it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck
and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. (Matthew 18:6)
All of his hopes are in the stars which he looks up to
to find when weíre at our weakest, so that he can exalt himself.
Jealousy rages within him, for he canít stand the fact
that the world which heís taken by deceit wonít be his for very much longer.
And as everyday passes You, O Lord, strengthen Your influence
in our lives and out into the world.
As Your glory shines even brighter, he becomes angrier,
because he isnít the center or the Creator of the universe
like heís told and deceived others, even himself.
He lifts up everything that can be manipulated,
such as digital signals and new technologies
because manipulation is what he does best.
He is they being more than one and consisting of an army.
I sense the darkness within them, and You know, Father,
I donít say anything about it to them, I let them go.
I bring all my troubles to You, for You are the ultimate judge, and I know
the day draws closer when they will push and then receive all that theyíve given
because blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (Matthew 5:7)
My help and reassurance is in my King, who goes ahead of me
clearing the path before me and saving me from destructive motives
from those who destroy others to keep their lives, to remove their fear
a fear which they deny out of pride to prove their manhood and womanhood,
while completely blinded by their weaknesses which are openly revealed.
The denied fear is of the Word of truth which brings joy and life to so many.
In their own eyes they are wise and full of knowledge
believing they know the day of Your return.
They put their belief in calendars and symbols of ancient civilizations
which were destroyed long ago by You.
Some feel no need for repentance, some say the resurrection is a lie.
Just like long ago, these words deserve to be heard again:
At that time Jesus said, ďI praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned,
and revealed them to little children.
Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.Ē (Matthew 11:25-26)
I donít wish harm upon them, Father, in fact I pray for their happiness,
that somehow they may find it, but this prayer goes unanswered.
I stay persistent in prayer, never giving up,
hoping a change for the better will come.
My distress makes me weary, Father,
and I know Iím not alone,
for there are many who find no rest and are weary
from those who pursue us and are at our heels.
I pray for us all Father, that we may find rest from them,
if my prayer for happiness for those who pursue canít be answered,
please answer this one, and save us from those who pursue us.
May the gift of patience youíve bestowed upon us
continue to shine down on us.
May deceitful workings to bring false predictions to life all fail,
along with every attempt to destroy those who believe in You.
I ask this in Jesusí name,
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come.
