Herod Antipas was lying on a cushion being fanned by a servant when another came in and whispered something in his ear. He started to smile from ear to ear, stood up and danced in place because he was so happy. The servant just relayed the message that Pilate, the Roman Govenor, was sending over someone that he had wanted to see in person for a long time now.
Herod had been hearing many things about this Rabbi from Galilee who performed many miracles and called himself a King.He had been involved in the death of the Rabbi's cousin, John the Baptist, and had even thought about killing the Rabbi also. He was curious to see Jesus perform a miracle for him right there.
After a short while, Flavius led a bound Jesus into the main hall of Herod's Jerusalem palace and a silent Jesus now stood in front of the great Herod and some of his guards.
