Nicholas rang the doorbell and shivered from the cold December weather. It was the weekend before Christmas and the Creator had called him earlier to see if he wanted to go see some Christmas lights tonight.They had gone to a bible study together the night before and tonight he really wanted to see some Christmas lights. He was sad because a close friendship with a church friend was straining. Both of them had different issues and their friendship was suffering for it. Nicholas rang the cold doorbell again. The door opened to show the Creator smiling and wearing a warm winter coat and a stocking cap.
" Hi Nicholas" he said as he pointed toward the car in the driveway. " Would you like to go with me to see some Christmas lights?".
" Sure" he replied glumly as they got into the car and it eased out of the driveway.
" Why so sad tonight?" he asked his young friend as he drove toward a neighborhood he knew contained houses with pretty Christmas lights.
" I'm having trouble with one of my church friends" he said with a tear in his eye. " Actually he's my best friend".
