Living For God’s Smile

Oh how sweet it is to walk
Daily, with my Shepherd, King;
Sharing life’s joys and sorrows;
Trusting Him with ev’rything.

I find His sweetest smile,
The dearest thing that I know,
As I walk, pleasing to Him;
Letting Him guide me below.

God bears me up when I’m weak,
And gives me strength to go on.
I cast my cares on Jesus,
And He gives to me, His song!

Though others may forsake,
Or speak out an unkind word,
It matters not, if I know
That I’m pleasing my dear Lord!

No matter where He leads me,
Or the trials I may face,
If I still walk close to God,
He will keep me, by His grace!

He gives His joy, strength, and peace,
When I cast my cares on Him!
I see His loving smile,
And life’s problems seem to dim.

Oh what joy in laying down,
My life; my will, for My Lord’s.
His love can then flow through me,
Through my actions, life, and words.

Living for my God’s sweet smile,
Matters not where I may be,
But if I’m living, all for Him;
And not anymore, for me.
