Nothing Satisfies Like Jesus

Many, many years ago,
In a beautiful garden place,
Adam and Eve walked with God.
Of pain, and sin, there was no trace.

There was but one thing, they knew,
That God, in love, had forbidden.
But it was that thing they did.
And thus entered pain, death, and sin.

Our enemy still deceives,
And tries to distract our soul’s eye,
By things God has not allowed.
“Better things”, is his whispered lie.

But when our gaze is turned away,
From our Savior, who was crucified,
We don’t see, with a thankful heart,
All the blessings He has not denied!

There is nothing, and no one,
Who can satisfy our thirsty soul,
Like Jesus, Who laid down His life,
To cleanse, redeem, and make us whole!

When we find all in Jesus,
And thank Him truly, every day,
He fully satisfies us,
As we submit to His perfect way.
