Promises to Abram

Now The LORD (God Almighty) had said to Abram (Abram/Abraham): “Get out of your Country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I (God Almighty) will show YOU (Abram/Abraham). I (God Almighty) will make YOU (Abram/Abraham) a Great Nation; I (God Almighty) will Bless YOU (Abram/Abraham) and make your name great; and YOU (Abram/Abraham) shall be a Blessing. I (God Almighty) will Bless those who bless YOU (Abram/Abraham), and I (God Almighty) will curse him who curses YOU (Abram/Abraham); and in YOU (Abram/Abraham) All the Families of the Earth, shall be Blessed.” So Abram (Abram/Abraham) departed as The LORD (God Almighty) had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram (Abram/Abraham) was Seventy-Five years old when he departed from Haran. Then Abram (Abram/Abraham) took Sarai (Sarai/Sarah), his Wife, and Lot, his Brother’s Son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to The Land of Canaan. So they came to The Land of Canaan. Abram (Abram/Abraham) passed through the land to The Place of Shechem, as far as the Terebinth Tree of Moreh, and the Canaanites were then in the land. Then The LORD (God Almighty) appeared to Abram (Abram/Abraham) and said, “To your Descendants I (God Almighty) will give this land.” And there he (Abram/Abraham) built an Altar to The LORD (God Almighty), who had appeared to him (Abram/Abraham). And he (Abram/Abraham) moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he (Abram/Abraham) pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he (Abram/Abraham) built an Altar to The LORD (God Almighty) and called on The Name of The LORD (God Almighty). So Abram (Abram/Abraham) journeyed, going on still toward the South.

Faithful Abraham

By Faith, Abraham (Abram/Abraham) obeyed when he (Abram/Abraham) was Called to go out to the place, which he (Abram/Abraham) would receive as an inheritance. And he (Abram/Abraham) went out, NOT knowing where he (Abram/Abraham) was going. By Faith, he (Abram/Abraham) dwelt in The Land of Promise, as in a Foreign Country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him (Abram/Abraham) of the same Promise; for he (Abram/Abraham) waited for the City, which has foundations, whose Builder and Maker is God (God Almighty).

Question: Do YOU have this type of obedience towards God Almighty? When He (God Almighty) Calls upon YOU, to step out of your “Comfort Zone”, to go where He (God Almighty) tells YOU to go, without question, will YOU go? Even if this means, leaving behind your family, your friends, and your Church family, to go some place far away? Perhaps God Almighty will send YOU out of State or He (God Almighty) may even send YOU out of your Country, will YOU go? Remember, by Faith, Abraham (Abram/Abraham) obeyed God Almighty, and left without even knowing where His (Abram/Abraham’s) final destination would be.

These days, God Almighty does things a little differently. Believers today, have Our Lord Jesus Christ abiding within every single one of Us, through The Holy Spirit. Think about that for a moment. Jesus Christ abides within YOU. Wherever YOU go, Jesus Christ goes with YOU. The Holy Spirit is your Counselor, Teacher, and Guide. Our Lord Jesus Christ Blesses each of Us with Spiritual Gifts. These Spiritual Gifts are to be used to Preach The Gospel of Jesus Christ. To share about God’s Amazing Saving Grace through God’s Free Gift of Salvation. To let each person know, that each one of Us matters, that each one of Us is unique and special, in God Almighty’s Eyes. God Almighty Loves each one of Us, with Unconditional Love, far beyond Our comprehension. Every single one of Us, is Created in God Almighty’s Image, to walk in God’s Immediate Presence, Forever, for Eternity.

People today, who have yet to accept God’s Free Gift of Salvation, feel lost as they walk through their Earthly Lives. They may feel insignificant, in God Almighty’s Eyes, thinking, how or why could He (God Almighty) care about them. They may feel they have done too many bad things or NOT enough good things, for God Almighty to ever want them, in His (God Almighty’s) Immediate Presence. They may feel or may have been told or taught, that God Almighty never existed, and therefore Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit also never existed. They may have been born into or brought up, in a religion or belief system, which does NOT acknowledge God Almighty, and God Almighty’s ONLY Son, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit. They may have been told or taught, that through Jesus Christ, was NOT the ONLY way, to enter into God’s Immediate Presence. I’m sure, I have only scratched the surface, but YOU get the idea.

God Almighty has BIG Plans for YOU. Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit, walk with YOU every single step of your way. God’s Path (Created specifically for YOU) will lead YOU to cross other people’s paths, Fellow Believers, Yet-To-Be-Believers, and Unbelievers, as well. YOU are Jesus Christ’s Light upon the World, that’s huge, and it’s also, a great responsibility! As Jesus Christ’s Light, YOU are tasked, with sharing and Preaching The Gospel of Jesus Christ. In many ways, in the same manner, Jesus Christ and His Disciples did, when Jesus Christ walked upon Earth. That’s walking the streets, neighborhoods, and Cities, of places YOU know well, and places YOU have never been to before! So, I will ask YOU again. Do YOU have this type of obedience towards God Almighty? If so, get ready for God Almighty to use YOU, and if NOT, get ready for God Almighty to use YOU! Amen.
