The Love of God
The Father gave us His love,
Because He loves us so much;
And as it flows from above,
With His hand a gentle touch.

Each of us is His child,
Because that is what we are;
Loving tender and mild,
Each of us like a bright star.

It is just like a disguise,
That we are now wearing here;
The world does not recognize,
Whenever the Lord is near.

They did not recognize Him,
For what He is and shall be;
They remain gloomy and grim,
They are blind and cannot see.

What will be is not yet clear,
We will know when Christ returns;
Non-believers likely fear,
But soon each one of us learns.

We know that when Christ appears,
We will be looking the same;
As our spirit adheres,
To Him just as we proclaim.

All who have the confidence,
Like Christ will keep themselves pure;
Then will see the evidence,
Not to be charmed by the lure.

For those who live sinful lives,
They are disobeying God;
So the growth of sin survives,
The love they have is a fraud.
