Special Forces are an integral part of military action. They seek out the location of enemy leaders, and under direction of their commanding officer, travel to the homes where they reside. Following the special force of faith, magi traveled, not to seek a foe but the newborn King.
“Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship Him (Matthew 2:1-2 NAS).”
In humble worship, they became a Special Force in service to their God, the Commanding Officer of the Heavenly Host. In seeking the Bethlehem stable home, they found the King of the Jews and presented gifts worthy of royalty. Before Him, we bow.
