Jesus, King of Kings emptied himself and came down to earth. He could have been born in a palace and wrapped in silk. Instead, his recorded place of birth is a Bethlehem stable and his mother wrapped him in swaddling clothes. (Luke 2:12-15) The Son of God became flesh.
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14 KJV).” The fading glory of a Governor’s estate pales in comparison to the glory of God incarnate.
