My Beloved brothers and sisters,
We are certainly living in the end times and the last days whereby we see many of the Bible prophecies are coming to past. Eschatology which is the study of end times have been at the forefront of many theological discourses in regards to prophetic utterances, and the prophetic climate in which we live. The above scripture text is an example of a prophecy that has been fulfilled in regards to the Old Testament and currently being fulfilled in regards to the New Testament. Prophecy is important to the New Testament believers because God has said that He will do nothing unless He reveal it to the prophets. The prophets jobs are to give warning, direction, clarification and confirmation, encouragement and rebuke so that the people of God will be able to align themselves with the Word of God and the will of God. In the book of Revelation chapter 18 John issues a prophetic utterance," “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen,..." How does that statement impact or affect you? First, what does Babylon represent...it represent sinful humanity and its capacity for self-delusion, ambition, sinful pride. It represents a world culture of rebellion against God. Also, a satanic world system in all of its industrial, economic and godless commercialism and financial systems. The above text serves as a warning that this world economic system has failed. This is the beginning of the failures of the entire world systems under Satan which the bible declares that he is the god of this world since Adam and Eve sinned and gave their dominion to Satan in the book of Genesis. "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen" is a prophetic utterance that prepares us for the Kingdom of God consummation and to warn those who have put their trust in these world systems that change has come. This prophetic utterance warns of destruction of the systems and the people whom pledge allegiances to these world systems. Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords and the King of kings and the only one who can to restore the dominion and ruling authority back to the believers (Kingdom citizen), which are those who are submitted unto God's rulership and authority. Therefore; my brothers and sisters, get ready, get ready, get ready to rule! We are the head and not the tail, we are above and not beneath, we are the lender and not the borrower. We have suffered with Christ therefore; we shall rule with Christ! Babylon the great is fallen,is fallen...all the king horses and all the kings men could not put Babylon the great back together again!
