We thank and praise the Lord God for the blessed faith we have, however this blessed faith should also result in works to glorify the Lord God.
"What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?" James 2:14 (NKJV)
Our faith in God is like a tree which at an opportune time should produce fruits, if a tree only grows to be tall and big, however does not produce the results for which it was planted, it is of no use, so it is with our faith if it is without any results.
The Lord desires that all of us should be filled by the Holy Spirit...
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:13 (NKJV)
and when we receive this blessed Holy Spirit into our lives, He changes us and makes us a new person and He will produce His fruits in us...
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23(NKJV).
Yes!!! If we have faith, if we are filled with The Holy Spirit, we should have the fruits of the Spirit in our life.
Jesus Himself once said this..."By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 (NKJV)
Dear One!!! the recognition of our faith should not be had from the membership records in our church, it should be from our life, from the way we live and deal with others.
Let this be true in our life....
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
