Proverbs 10

The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.



Beloved Brothers and Sisters, if you can accept the revelation of the above scripture and have faith to allow the word of God to manifest the Lord's blessing in your life and do not reject this scripture as some type of religious prosperity gospel, the current economic challenges you are experiencing would not be so challenging. The scripture declares that the blessing of the Lord makes one rich...there is nothing wrong with being rich. Many of today's Christians associate wealth or riches with secular society or worldly individuals. 2 Corinthians 8:9 declares," For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich." There are some who would like to spirualize this scripture text and state that it is only referring to spiritual riches. What is the blessing of the Lord? The blessing of the Lord is the covenant which God made with Abraham and his seed. Read Genesis chapter 17:1,2...When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. 2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Also read Galatians 3:8-9, And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. This would bring us to the question...how was Abraham blessed? Was it just a spiritual blessing or was it both spiritual and material blessing. Yes, it was both spiritual and material read Genesis 13:2 ," 2 Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold." In conclusion the bible declares in Galatians 3:13-14,"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”, 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Therefore: The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it. The blessing of the Lord is both material and spiritual and poverty is a curse...... but Jesus has became a curse for us that we may no longer have to live under the curse of poverty.
