A mini-sermon about the sweetness of the Gospel of Christ was likened to honey for the soul. We as God's servants and slaves look up to our one Leader, the living, gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his guidance and protection. While the Bible tells us how sweet the Gospel is for us, we are invited to share the sweetness with those we meet.
Men of the world are seeking how to have glory in themselves which they never find . As Christians we cannot allow the bitterness of the world to dwell within us. Christ is holding out His Arms, ready to extend the sweet grace of eternal salvation to all who believe; now that is glory in the highest. We read in Bible, Proverbs 25:27, " It is not good to eat much honey; so for men to search their own glory, is not glory."
God in his wisdom gave us a wonderful example how we should serve the Lord. The honey bee family has a queen bee and all the others bees are as a servant. They bring in the honey nectar and never seem to grow fait. The bee hive is soon overflowing with honey and they share the sweet reward with the human beekeeper who watches over the hive year around.
We serve the Lord and spread the sweet message of Salvation to those around us and if they accept and repent we lead them to the Lord. At the Lord's house as a Christian family we all gather to worship and praise the Lord and hear the sweet message he sends us from the Bible.
