As we go through the many aspects of our life the question often comes up, "Whom do we serve?' Some people may even say, I serve no one, I am my own boss. Others like to think they make their own decisions and are accountable to no one.

Let us take a look at this question and sort of take a view of it in depth and what the Bible has to tells us regarding servants. We read in Matthew 25 verse 21, Jesus speaks" His lord said to him. " Well done, good and faithful servant, you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord."

If we are in business, we soon learn we are a servant to the customers. The military has a chain of command, making us subject to orders from above, as we do our service for our country. Even the President is a servant of the people in our form of government. We are all in some way a servant to others around us and as we serve them, to the best of our abilities, we find ourselves having a wonderful feeling of satisfaction.

We see in the old Testament, where prophet Moses was a servant all his life. Deuteronomy 34 verse 5, " So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord". And in Joshua 1, verse 1, "After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua.

The Bible is filled with wonderful passages of Godly men and women being the servant of our loving and gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We can also be a spiritual servant of our Lord if we put Him first in our lives. He says to knock and I will open the door, ask and you will receive, as He blesses us with Physical, Material, and Spiritual Blessings. As His servant we know, our Lord , ruler of the universe, is the most wonderful Master. He supplies us with all our needs and we are just everyday Christian servants trying to follow in His footsteps, as we go through the trials and tribulations we face each day. We thank you Almighty Lord for listening to your humble servants, answering our prayers, and giving us guidance.
