When we pray to God our Father, the all mighty creator of the universe, heaven and earth, do we send our prayers according to the Bible directions? God's word the Bible. the most read book in the world, tells us how we must pray to God. It is God, whom gives us as his servants and children a direct way to reach him in our prayers. If it God's will, he will bless us with physical blessings, material blessings and spiritual blessings.
We see in John.3:17, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." After our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. and prior to returning to sit on the the right hand of his Father God. he told his disciples how to pray to God the Father. John 16. 26:28. our Lord tells us, " At that day ye shall ask in my name; and I say not unto you that I will pray the Father for you, For the Father himself loved you, because ye have loved me, and believe that I come out from God. I came forth from the Father, and come into the world again. I leave the world and go to the Father." Yes, we see our Lord Jesus Christ is the direct connection to our prayers to reach God the Father.
When our Lord Jesus tells Apostle Peter about the church our Lord will build on the Rock Foundation, God's Word, he says that Peter will be the first church leader. Later, Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the Will of God, starts many churches in his lifetime. Over the past 2.000 years of church existence, we see how prayer has changed in some churches. Our Lord tells us in Matthew, 6-7 " But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do, for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking." We see prayers that are directed to others than our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is closest to the God his Father. as they are seated side by side in Heaven.
Some Christians have said they no longer go to the Lord in prayer as they never get any answers. We see in Matthew 21:22, And all things, whatsoever ye ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Maybe they are praying for wants rather than needs, or praying through others rather than directly to our Lord Jesus Christ? The Lord said he would send us the Holy Spirit, a person to guide and protect us. John 16:13," Howbeit, when he " The Spirit of Truth" is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever ye shall hear, that he shall shew things to come. If we as sinners confess our sin to the Lord and ask for him to come into our heart and we really believe he is the Son of God, the Bible tells us our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will hear our cry and open his arms to accept us, under his wings. Yes. as Christians, our Lord will hear and answer our prayers if we walk in the Holy Spirit and let him guide our lives.
