Childhood,no doubt is the seed and bedrock on which all grown adults stands.It is like the dead tree truck on which the mushroom grew.And as a matter of fact,no adult person can be better in life and in achievements or otherwise than his or her childhood foundation.
Thus,refined childhood is the nucleus of a glorious and progressive society.
But what is Childhood? In its proper definition,childhood can be defined as a person's earliest years in life.It is usually the state of being a child,or the period of an individual's life when he or she is a child.Put in another way,it is the years between infancy and adolescent years.
Occasionally,the stage of childhood is sometimes referred to as: Juvenile;Infant;Baby and or Youthful years.
Basically,the noticeable stages in childhood development include:The Moral;Emotional;Physical; Psychological and the Intellectual dimensions of the individual child as well as the Spiritual need.All these must be given equal and balance attention for the healthy and total up-bringing of the child to full adolescence age.
Characteristically,childhood life has some natural manifestations which could be seen at variant in children such as:
Firstly,the childhood stage is characterized by growth and development. Usually since the adulthood is midwifed by the childhood stage,the need for total development for optimal well being is very necessary.Thus, growth and development are a major feature of childhood life.
This growth and development in childhood are facilitated by resources provided through parental influences and training;educational exposures;societal and peer group influences as well as dietary and nutritional factors.
The other essential character in childhood life is a mixture of youthful delinquencies and exuberance's.Thus,the stage of childhood formation requires tactical and matured handling and counseling by capable adult counselors.
Above all,childhood is a transitional period that could progressed and metamorphose into either destructive negative personality or creative and positive adulthood.
Truly and indeed,childhood life is the cross road to a better adulthood and societal peace and
progress.Childhood must therefore be treasured and honored by all and sundry.Childhood is therefore a golden and indispensable step of humanity that must be crossed by all including the nobles of the world.
