Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob herded goats!
In summer, I spend time with my goats.
Goats nibble the grass flat on acres
of field.
Goats stay snakes from stinging my family.
Goats serve an emergency food supply.
My son and I care for the goats, together.
And besides that, I like’em!
It’s easy to talk their language.
And when nobody else wants me around,
the goats still do.
We spend time with God!
That's the joy of being a shepherd.
Honestly, can you think of anything else
that will do?
The same as women must gather and shop,
men must hunt and farm, so I tend goats!
If you think of anything frugal to
raise, I’d consider it.
Rabbits? Chickens? Turkeys? Horses?
I know one must bless my freezer.
I just haven’t figured which one, yet.
Should it be Gus, Shaggy, or Monkey?
Gus is my valuable breeding Boer.
Shaggy is my favorite and only brown goat.
Monkey is not old enough yet.
His long black ears flop real cute!
I sure like to watch those little kids
prance about the field.
And to raise more little kids, I need
Gus, Shaggy, and Monkey!
I don’t know why you compare our
marriage to the goats.
The rest of the year, I spend all
my time with you and very little
with the goats.
I'm won't trade you for the goats!
I really will start a hundred-turkeys
farm if you rid me of my goats.
Maybe more people eat turkeys.
I’d be forced to build a very long barn.
I really don’t want to be a turkey farmer.
Besides!
Abraham raised goats, and what was he?
Filthy rich!
And Isaac raised goats, and what was he?
Filthy rich!
And Jacob raised goats, and what was he?
Filthy rich!
You know, goats are a lot like people.
To stay out of trouble they need a shepherd!
I like goats. But I love you!
