Faith Writers’ Word Challenge 10-08

Some faces were full of memories, longing for days gone by.

Others folks were singing in the moment – even waving arms as though directing the music.

Several were mentally absent in the present event – just waiting to be led back to their room.

As our small choral group finished our planned Christmas Present for Prairie House Assisted Living Facility, each member walked the hall and gave hugs, shook hands and shared a warm holiday greeting with eager recipients.

Our small neighborhood community enjoys our annual preparation and presentation. Serving for the benefit of others somehow fits the season and sets the stage for our personal Christmas celebrations.

This is a lovely little vignette.

For future information: Writing Challenge entries are supposed to have at least 150 words. You're a very good writer, and I'm sure there was a wealth of material in this little event. I hope to see more writing from you in future challenges!

I really liked this Judy. Keep up the good work and don't feel bad on any suggestions you may receive. Everyone is here to help us and believe me, I need a lot of help in my writing.
