You’re the peace within my life
When things are dark and dismal
You lift me from my strife

Lord, you are my joy
For without you I’d be lost
Wondering through this world alone
Hell would be the cost

Lord, you are my love
For without you there is none
A dismal life I’d face
As if life had not begun

Lord, you are my rest
In the face of all that’s wrong
Somehow you give me strength
You give a brand new song

Lord, you are my test
You keep me on your path
You wash me with your blood
To avoid your certain wrath

Lord, you are my home
Wherever I may be
In you, my faith is strong
That one day, your face I’ll see
