When I reach my home
On that wondrous golden shore
Never more to wonder here
Among the angels I will soar
When I walk on streets of gold
And wear my robe and crown
No more to wonder here
No more tears falling down
I’ll shout and praise the Father
Who took me home on high
Who sheltered me through all my life
Who sent his son to die
I’ll thank him for the time I had
To live and learn and love
The time I had to spread his word
And for taking me above
Through tragedy he brought me
Out of darkness he lifted me high
Never more to wonder
No more sadness in my eye
I’ll thank him for the loved ones
I was privileged to know
For all the years he gave me
Before my time to go
Never more to wonder
For his promise will be mine
And I will be here waiting
For those I left behind.
