Its been raining here all day... just thought this thought....
Rain
Silently it comes on summer afternoons
Soundly too when thunder booms
Still it is sure to get you wet
If in its path you get.

I should wonder though if we might see,
the way God's mercy rain shows to be
falling softly soundly down
on us who in its path submit
